Last Year's FSJ August Bloom Box......

When I got this bloom box I thought:  'Ok this is not for me' and it set on my shelf for One Full Year!  Eeak!  So, I finally decided to make them.  This is the set below called 'Great Outdoors':

Oh My Goodness!  Why, why, why did I wait so long.  Excellent masculine card, and I am always looking for ideas to make masculine cards!  I just changed some of the greetings that would work best for me.  Happy Dance 💃

A closer view:

Happy, happy, happy!  🙋🙋🙋  Now I have the full red rubber stamp set to make more great masculine cards!

Here is this year's August Bloom Box:

I wasn't sure I wanted this one either, but you better believe I will make this one as soon as I get it!

A few things to take note of our Bloom Box:

  • Kit to put together 4 cards including envelopes
  • All embellishments, card stock, color booklet instruction, envelopes and a full size red rubber stamp set.  The only thing you need to add are your adhesives and ink.
  • You can sign up for a six month subscription or month by month as supplies last.  The latter option cost $5 more.
  • Richard Garay designs these and they are always trendy and up to date.  So even if I'm not so current as long as I follow his example I can be trendy too!  :-)
For the month of August all of FSJ Ink Pads are 20% off.  If you decide to place an order please remember to put my coach #366 or my name (Cherie Criswell) on the order.  Thank You!

Eazy Peazy, Mac and Cheezy

ps:  I know my daughter and son are shaking their heads saying mom just can't spell.  (and that is true, I spell check everything!)  This saying above is how I want to spell it.  I even wrote it down, because I want to be consistent with every post.  LOL

First Christmas post of 2017!

Too early to talk about Christmas cards you say?  Sure if you are going to buy factory made cards.  But......homemade cards you really need to at least start thinking about it now.  Here is one of my first group of cards:

Ten cards to start!  Yea me!  I saw the making of this card on RG Presents.  This is what persuaded me to buy the bundle (Poinsettia Baskets Bundle #BD-0296) in our new Holiday Catalog!

Here is a closer view of both the outside and inside of my cards:

Beautiful Wings. The Secret of Stamping on Color Card Stock

Beautiful Wings #SS-0353 - A 3-step stamp.

Have you ever wondered how to get such vibrant colors on colored cardstock?  Well....I have a secret!

And here is the tip:

Stamp with white ink first.  I used our Journey's Whip Cream ink (#IP-0009).  It takes a little to dry, so be sure to give it the time.  Then stamp with your next color.  I used Lemon Drop (#IP-0043).  The second color I used is Tangerine Fusion (IP-0005). Then our third color is Black Licorice (#IP-0041).

Ta da!  Now that's bright and bold color for my butterflies.  Easy Peazy Mac and Cheesy!

Bold Wings and Pan Pastels

I started this card with Butter Cream card stock and stamped my beautiful butterflies ( Bold Wings #SS-0420).  Then I got my Pan Pastels out (Party Pop #JM-0081).  The color I used was Citrus Cooler, I also used the colorless blender to smooth out the transition from light to dark.  I tried to make it the darkest on the bottom and gradually got lighter.  I used a white eraser and erased the color from the butterflies.  (That's one of the things that is so great about Pan Pastels, you can erase and re-apply!)

I added gold and sparkle splatters and.....

Orange Rave card stock, as I didn't have Citrus Cooler and I thought it was pretty close.

Black card stock

Ta Da!  All done.  Which do you like?
