My Herb Garden

Chalking my pots for my herb garden......That's the eazy peazy part, now I must try to change this brown thumb to green!  As I say in my video:  Keep your fingers crossed.  Some good organic herb for me and my family....this way I know what has been added to it!  :-) Just saying................. Again a very short video to show everybody who wants to watch my process.   The products I used are:  Silk Screen Transfers 'Spring Words' & 'Love Grows Here' and White Chalk Paste. Update: I finally planted my seeds for the above herb garden.  Yea!  I don't just make this stuff and set it aside, I use them all over the house - inside and out! So the herbs I am trying to grow are: Chives - takes 10 to 15 days to emerge Basil - takes 5 - 10 days to emerge Dill - takes 20 - 25 days to emerge Tarragon - takes 8 - 12 days to emerge Lemon Balm - takes 10 to 15 day. Here are a few pictures to prove I did it!  Yea Me!

This Way To....The Lake, The Beach, Adventure or The Mountains!

I'm over the moon with Chalk Couture's Inks  They go on so smooth and easy!  Great with Ceramic, glass and Fabric.  I put it on fabric here on this pillow: Love, love, love!  So fun and easy.  The part that was the longest was the drying time!  I used my flip flops again.  (probably will be my signature during all these summer pictures & videos)  LOL   I used Chalk Couture's Lumbar Pillow case (12 x 24) & 11 x 23" Ink Mat - this has a sticky side which holds the pillow in place and keeps it smooth.  It also acts as a barrier against bleed through. The inks I used are:  White, Storm, Black, Teal, Bubblebee & Coral. If you would like to go shopping just click on the Chalk Couture on the right side of this blog.  It will bring you right to my web site.  :-) Here is my video - This time just music to give you a break from my voice........ Love to hear what you think......

Live Life In Flip Flops

Let the summer transfer begin............drum roll please......!! Today we are starting with our transfer 'Live Life In Flip Flops'....and I do! So stinkin cute!! This technique is so easy, just dab on your colors and swirl with your finger.  A great rainbow affect/effect*. (Never can remember the rule for this one)  The flip flops look like you could put your feet in them and walk right off the page.  The colors I used are Bubblegum Pink, Lilac, Purple, Aquamarine and Lime Green.  Remember you can use these transfers over and over again with proper care.  Just wash off with water, then a disinfectant wipe let dry sticky side up.  The glossy side of the backing goes to the sticky side once dry.  The paste dries hard and will stay on until you take a damp cloth to wipe off.  Then you are ready to do the next design.  Eazy Peazy! And my video....... I welcome all comments.  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Chalkin! :-)

Sugar Cookie Recipe On My Apron

Ta, da!...... That is a huge transfer and a lot of inking!  It does come in two separate transfers, but it is still too big for me.  Here is my tip:  cut it down into whatever works for you.  Just be careful not to cut into the netting and leave a little sticky boarder to prevent bleed through of the ink.  I also did this while doing a video because I like to show you guys everything I can.  It was a little hard staying in the camera view and still being able to see what I was doing.  But, enough excuses!  Of course you can change this up into any color you want or keep it to just one color - We do have 15 colors to pick from and you can mix some colors to create a new one! Here is my video..... One of these days I will have to try this recipe. Happy Chalking and Inking! ps:  I have a lot of summer stuff coming up in the next weeks, so keep coming back and check it out.  :-)

I Love You To The Moon!

I have said those words many times to my kids!  And now to my grandkids!  The game goes:  I Love you to the moon and back; then as we take turns.....I love you to the moon and back times a thousand.  Then times a million. And on and on.....Zillion - wait is there such a thing?  Well we made it one. How cute would that be in a kids room?!  You could change it up with any color to match their room.  How about a Pink Rocket?  Or, as my daughter says, Chalk it on the mirror so they can wake up to it every morning! And my short video: Having lots and lots of fun with this......come on and join me and lets chalk! and ink!   :-)

Liberty, Shadow Box and The 4th of July!

Hi everyone!  Time to showcase Chalk Couture's June Club Couture.  On the shadow box you have two different surfaces to chalk on.  The chalkboard backing and the glass front.  Both are non-porous surfaces, so be sure to fuzz (get the stickiness off with a towel, shirt or pant leg).  There are two transfers for the rays.  The longer one is on the bottom.  It is designed to go nicely around Texas and Florida.  The top one is designed to go around the outline of the US and end by the Great Lakes.   Happy the way this turned out.  However, it is hard to take a photo because the glass acts as a mirror.....so I had trouble keeping the background out, including me.  :-)  The fireworks on the glass are from a retired transfer, but we have two new ones out called:  Vintage Truck Add-On (Summer) & Let Freedom Ring. Here is my video:  Let me know what you think?  Would you like to try it? Happy Memorial Day & Happy 4th of July!  Summer, summer!

Its here! Celebrations Suite 2018 Mini Catalog for 2018

A little Sneak Peak........... I have made 3 orders so far.....Eeak!  Hold me back, hold me back! Love, love this stuff......

The Big 'C'

The big 'C'  .......... So Fun!!  Love this!!! I used two transfer:  Patterns and Gourmet Font.  This time I used the pattern transfer as a background.  I chose a pop of color with the Brick Red for HOME and the heart.  I used Sand Chalk Paste for the dots pattern.  I keep changing my decor (which is part of the fun with Chalk Couture).  I keep waiting for my husband to notice my changes.  Poor guy that really isn't fair; but you know he usually spots them all.  It has kinda turned into a game:  What can you find?! Of course, A video! Enjoy! Eazy Peazy! Until next time.....keep on Chalkin! Check out the new mini catalog...very beachy and summery!  It's AWESOME.  There is a flip catalog on the right side of my page.   :-)
