2nd Christmas Card for 2013!

I love this card.  This is using the Sunbeam technique.  I have mixed shimmer paint to the Marina Mist sunbeams.  It really shimmers in person.  It is a little hard to get it on camera.  I will be doing a video soon, so hopefully you will see the shimmer on the video.  Sometimes simple is better.  I really don't think it needs anything else. The supplies I used: Stamps :  Lovely As A Tree WM #128655 CM #127793;  Gorgeous Grunge WM #130514 CM #130517 Ink :  Marina Mist Ink Refill #119787 and Always Artichoke #126972 Paper :  Whisper White #100730 and Always Artichoke #105119 Accessories :  Stampin Spritzer #126185, Frosted White Shimmer #116854 (clearance), Rhinestone #119246, Demensionals #104430 and Illuminate Glimmer Pad #126857. Emboss Resist and Sponging Techniques

A very simple and pretty card.  I used two techniques on the flowers; Emboss Resist & Sponging.  The picture really does not give it justice.  I sprayed Frost White Shimmer on the flowers and they really do shimmer! White Wash Technique using Stampin Up! Swallowtail Stamp.

What a fun technique!  This works well with an outlined stamp, leaving room to do the white wash and later to fill in with color.  It is really fun, easy and fast.  You don't have to be an artist to have professional results!  My card size is standard 4 1/4 x 11 - scored at 5 1/2.  I used the honeycomb embossing folder for the background at 4 x 5 1/4.  Here are the supplies that I used: Stamp: Swallowtail WM#131943 CM #129216 Ink :  Daffodil Delight #126944, Cajun Craze #126965, Old Olive #126953 and Craft Whisper White #101731 Paper :  Basic Black #121045, Crumb Cake #120953 and Marina Mist #119682. Joseph's Coat Technique

This was a fun technique, but messy!  I used Stampin Up! stamp set 'Gently Falling' which is a two stamp stamp set.  Here are some pictures of the end result. This should come with a warning.  'Warning, very messy.  Messy, messy fingers!  May want to wear gloves.  lol  That is what my husband told me when I tried to get Elegant Eggplant off of my fingers and nails.  I used soap and water, our stamp cleaners, fingernail polish remover and goof off but I still had purple fingers and nails.  Finally I used Clorox and it came right off.  You just have to make sure and wash it off and put on some lotion because it can really dry out your skin.  I do have an alternative plan though, watch my video and find out! The Supplies I used are: Stamps :  Gently Falling CM #123804, WM #128430 Take Care CM #126312, WM #132088 Ink :  Old Olive #126953, Crushed Curry #131173, Cajun Craze #126965, Cherry Cobbler #126966, Elegant Eggplant #126969 and VersaMark #1022
