It is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

In central Florida we do not get the snow, but we have wonderful weather down south now!  No humidity and 60 - 70 degrees with our wonderful sun shinning.  Actually 78 degrees right now.  :-)  Love this time of year!

I have been making more Christmas cards.  Let me show you what I have been up to:

If you are wondering what all the gold and silver trees are, I will tell you my tip.  I used gold and silver foil paper to layer the cards, but before I put this together I punched out the trees with Stampin Up! tree punch and then embossed them.  You do not see this as the top layer covers this up and I saved on foil sheets.  Now I have lots of trees for a future card!  Yea!
hmmmm, I wonder what I should make.  Ah a future post.

I did use a retired stamp Watercolor Winter, but Stampin Up! has a new one called Christmas Wishes that can be used.  (I don't own that one because it is so similar to the one I have)  Now the flowers.....A process, but fun to do.  You will have to be patient and let things dry.  To begin with I stamped the image on a window sheet with black ink.  With wax paper, I put drops of Crystal Effects and then added one or two drops of re-inker (color of your choice I think I used Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight & Strawberry Slush)  I mixed this with a toothpick and got a paint brush out and painted, let dry for several hours.  After this dried I applied Dazzling Diamonds.  Again I let this dry for several hours or over night, then I cut out and attached to card again with Crystal Effects as this also acts like a glue.

Today I finished this card which I did case from Cynthia Milan (I did use another stamp, but the idea is hers)

This is also with the retired stamp set Watercolor Winter, but Cynthia Milan used the stamp set Christmas Wishes.  The secret for this card is the embossing powder Iridescent Ice.  #101930.  I just coated the whole face of the card with VersaMark and heat set this with Iridescent Ice.  Magic happens!  You can really see the shine on this picture.  I used Endless Wishes for the sentiment.  I love the font on this stamp set!  Makes me smile  :-)

Thanks for stampin by......
