Our so cute Mermaid Wishes July 2017 Bloom Box! Every month you learn tips and techniques from Richard (owner and co-founder of FSJ) Example bottom left background is a direct to paper technique and the circles on the top were made using a dauber. Cool, yes!
Now of course we have to play since we now have a big red rubber stamp set. So.....
These two were CASEd from Jeanne Bobish (A Journey Coach) I love your videos! You can follow her on facebook.
Look at this background...It was made using dry wall tape and modeling paste! Wonderful texture!
Now here is what I created with this cute stamp set
For the background I used our Journey Splashes. Turbo Teal (IP-0125) and Cool Pool (IP-0076). I put drops on my craft mat and added water. Next I just dabbed the Whipped Cream cardstock directly on the ink.
For the foreground I stamped and heat embossed with white (#IP-0098). On the back side of the Vellum(PP-0044) I painted using our re-inkers.
I used glue dots(#AD-0083) behind images (so it wouldn't show through)
Now:
I used a technique I learned from Richard Garay for the Mermaid fins. I used Journey Glaze (AD-0002) which normally gives a smooth shinny finish. Then I used the heat tool (TO-0083) directly on the glaze. Soon it starts to bubble; take away and allow to settle then heat again until you get the effect you want. I have a close-up below.
Can you see all that texture? It actually feels like scales!
Cool, Right? You should try it, so fun. Easy Peazy Mac and Cheesy!
Till next time :-)
