Christmas Card Using 'No Prob Llama' Stamp Set

Alright all ready, I am on a roll!  This is actually my 8th Christmas card for this year.  WooHoo!  This one is so cute, I love it!  I am using my new favorite stamp set 'No Prob Llama' (SS-0481) The hat on Mr. Llama on the right is just as bright red as the guy on the left.  The light just caught the glimmer more on the right one.  This was so fun and I actually designed this one all by myself.  I did use some great tips from coaches, for example Deb Valder gave me the idea of using Model Paste for texture on the Llamas.  It makes it look so real!!  And Char Leasor gave me the tip to use my Gel Press to achieve the mirror image of my Llamas!     💃💃💃 Here is how it started:  Remember paper dolls?  Well....My Paper Llamas!  Let me introduce you to 'Mr. & Mrs. Llama!  Fun right?  Now to dress them up and get ready for the holidays! There is a die that comes with this stamp set. (DI-0344) or the bundle for both the stamp set and die AND a 10%

Third Christmas Card of 2017

Hey guys, workin on my Christmas cards a little at a time.  These cards are CASEd from Richard's Holiday presents.  I changed it a little only because I did not have everything, so I used what I had.  :-) I did not have the music background stamp, but I did have an old wheel (remember those?)  I took it apart and put it on a cushion and presto....I have a clear mount stamps.  I just had to stamp several times instead of just once.  FSJ has some awesome Silver Shavings (AC-0344) but I didn't have that either so I mixed silver and gold glitter and ta da!  There is so much stufff I want in the FSJ catalog, just can't get it all at once.  One step at a time. Here are some close-ups: Two different poinsettias:  The one on the left was stamped (SS-0524) from Poinsettia Burst and die cut (DI-0375) or to save 10% the bundle (stamp set + Die BD-0295).  The one on the right I used Poinsettia Burst Accessory (AC-0308) I combined Gold and Sil

First Christmas post of 2017!

Too early to talk about Christmas cards you say?  Sure if you are going to buy factory made cards.  But......homemade cards you really need to at least start thinking about it now.  Here is one of my first group of cards: Ten cards to start!  Yea me!  I saw the making of this card on RG Presents.  This is what persuaded me to buy the bundle (Poinsettia Baskets Bundle #BD-0296) in our new Holiday Catalog!   Here is a closer view of both the outside and inside of my cards: Wow, I love this card!  Homemade does take more time definitely!  But it is so fun to make and is filled with a lot of heart into each project.  It's like sending a little gift to all our family and friends!  Below are supplies used and measurements : Poinsettia Baskets Bundle #BD-0296 Color Burst Pencils #JM-0077 Color Burst Blenders #TO-0123 Whip Cream Card Stock #CS-0040  4 1/4 x 4 1/4 Cranberry Bliss Card Stock # CS-0090  card base 8 1/2 x 5 1/2  Score at 4 1/4 Buttercream C

Beautiful Wings. The Secret of Stamping on Color Card Stock

Beautiful Wings #SS-0353 - A 3-step stamp. Have you ever wondered how to get such vibrant colors on colored cardstock?  Well....I have a secret! And here is the tip:   Stamp with white ink first .  I used our Journey's Whip Cream ink (#IP-0009).  It takes a little to dry, so be sure to give it the time.  Then stamp with your next color.  I used Lemon Drop (#IP-0043).  The second color I used is Tangerine Fusion (IP-0005). Then our third color is Black Licorice (#IP-0041). Ta da!  Now that's bright and bold color for my butterflies.  Easy Peazy Mac and Cheesy! 😉😊

Bold Wings and Pan Pastels

I started this card with Butter Cream card stock and stamped my beautiful butterflies ( Bold Wings #SS-0420).  Then I got my Pan Pastels out (Party Pop #JM-0081).  The color I used was Citrus Cooler, I also used the colorless blender to smooth out the transition from light to dark.  I tried to make it the darkest on the bottom and gradually got lighter.  I used a white eraser and erased the color from the butterflies.  (That's one of the things that is so great about Pan Pastels, you can erase and re-apply!) Then........ I added gold and sparkle splatters and..... Orange Rave card stock, as I didn't have Citrus Cooler and I thought it was pretty close. And....... Black card stock Ta Da!  All done.  Which do you like?
