'Life On The Farm' on the Pallet Box.

Have I told you "This is my favorite transfer so far"?  That and the new 'Vintage Tractor' and our 'Vintage Truck' (which is not retiring by the way - it is way too popular!)  It is hard to make a mistake on this one, the transfer is designed so well.  You should try it!  So, come and watch my video.  I explain the three helpful tips to layering and also how I came up with my barn red color paste.

My video:

Come back next Wednesday to see what I do with the other side of my pallet board.....

HmmmmmπŸ˜‰ Hint:  think serving tray....... You'll have to come back to see it.

My Vintage Stack Of Books

OK, I'm lovin this new trend:  Vintage book stacks!
It seems like I see them everywhere, so I decided I needed to try my hand at it.  LOL
Here is a picture of my vintage books:

I love how this turned out!  As close to perfect that I will ever get.  Don't you just love makin 'vintage'?  It is so forgiving!

I also used the 'hello' from my silkscreen transfer 'Welcome Trio' on my milk jug sitting by my fireplace.

As always here is my how to video:

Ya gota love Vintage!

Trying The Masking Technique with Chalk Paste

Ok, here is a fun technique called 'Masking'.  It works well with many of our large background transfers.  With this one I used our 'Modern Floral' transfer once again.  I used it previously on a decorative pillow (in which I made a video - of course).  I also used a 'Welcome' transfer, Our huge 18" Round, Shimmer Gold & Bright White Paste.

This shimmer Gold Paste actually shimmers with gold glitter.

Here is a picture of my two projects together.  Same transfer but two different surfaces.  One is ink and one is paste.

My how to video:

So are you ready to give this technique a try?  Come on, you know you want to!

Not Adulting Today!

Ink on my T-shirt:
.....I'm not.....  ADULTING TODAY (tomorrow doesn't look good either)
tehehehehe πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ€ͺ

Love this!  Isn't it cute.  Who wouldn't want that from time to time?  I will be busy making a few of these this afternoon.  🎨 The ink colors I used on this t-shirt are:  Papaya, Couture Teal & Bright White.  The transfer is:  'Not Today'.  Now I can heat set this with either an Easy Press or an Iron.  Use parchment paper with both.  And..... (drum πŸ₯ roll)  it's permanent!  WooHoo!!πŸ’ƒπŸ»

Modern Floral Transfer & Ink On My Pillow

Love how you can customize colors and mix transfers to decorate.  Decorate your way!  And the bonus's fun too!

I love how this turned out.  It did take some prepping and some patience.  This is a large transfer and I had to make sure it did not stick on itself.  I used Chalk Couture's Ink Mat which acts as a blotter & it is sticky so you can press the pillow cover smooth over the mat.  Than when I put the sticky silkscreen transfer on and smoothed out any wrinkles or bubbles I had a very successful transfer of ink to pillow - no bleeding under the design!  Yea!!πŸ˜€πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜‰ The supplies I used are:  Ink Mat, Eucalyptus ink, Large handled squeegee & Modern Floral silkscreen transfer.

Here is my how to video:

Love this stuff!

Changing Up My Lazy Susan

Well, it's time to change my Lazy Susan.  This is an old wooden lazy susan that I have repurposed with black chalk paint (not to be mixed up with Chalk paste or ink) and then a little natural wax, I use Minwax. Wipe on, wipe off. (LOL from Karate Kid). I keep changing up the designs using different silkscreen transfer and chalk paste from Chalk Couture.  I love that I can do this, it fun to try and decide what to do with it next.  This is what I did:

I used two transfers:  Vintage Laurel Wreath & 'C' Monogram (We have a transfer for every letter in the alphabet + the & sign).  I used Gold Shimmer paste (this is new!) and two colors of green:  Garden Herb and one that I mixed myself.  Watch the video to see how I did it.  🎨 πŸ‘€

I always try to set aside some time to play and decorate my house at the same time!  It's a win, win!

My Super Heros 🦸🏼‍♂️ 🦹‍♂️ 🦸🏼‍♂️ 🦹‍♂️ 🦸‍♀️

My young Super Heros! We will be traveling soon to visit three of my super heros so I made them some shirts.

Love how these turned out.  I used the following inks:  Bumblebee, Candy Apple Red, Black Velvet, Bright White, Gold Shimmer, Midnight Sky, Papaya & Regal. After the ink is dry you can heat set this with parchment paper and a medium non-steam iron for 4 minutes front and back.  You can also use an Easy Press if you have one.  Now it is permanent!πŸŒŸπŸ’›

Well.....I'm Procraftinating Again! Learn A New Technique

Well here I am procraftinating again!!  Just can't help it.  I was blessed with crafty parents!  Dad was great with woodworking and mom loved to sew.  Mom, Toni and I went to ceramic classes which we all enjoyed!  So a lot of this love for crafts was handed down to me.  I am so lucky!

Here is my latest sign...this time actually on chalkboard.

I used Chalk Paste in Bumblebee, storm and bright white.  I also tried a technique I call 'Chalk & Pull' for the first time.  I will definitely try that again!

Take a look:

See that eagle?  My mom made that for me in ceramics! Ok, so far I have used this transfer 3 different times and 3 different surfaces!  Wood, fabric & chalkboard.  This just keeps going & going.  Lot of life left to do many more.

Changing Up My Vintage Truck From St. Patricks Day To Easter!

I just chalked up some of my Vintage Truck add ons and then cut out on my scroll saw!  Easy to do & did I say fun to do?!
A picture tutorial:

Taking off the four leaf clovers....

After I chalked and cut out with scroll saw I put these small magnets on the back.

And since this is one of Chalk Couture's magnetic boards, it's eazy peazy to change it up.  πŸ˜‰πŸ˜

And now I am already for the coming holidays! πŸ˜€ ✞

Don't Grow Up It's A Trap!

Well that speaks my language.  Why act like a grown up when acting like a kid is so much more fun.  Who doesn't like the big laugh from a kid?!  It makes the whole room smile.  Well I love this transfer, and since our transfers are reusable, I used it far.  One with Chalk Couture Paste & one with Chalk Couture Ink.  Both of them I used Bright White & Shimmer Gold on Black.

Here is a picture:

One transfer, two designs & far!

Love this, and I will be wearing this one!

Loads Of Luck!

This vintage truck is spreading luck everywhere it goes.  That's how I see it anyway.  I've been changing my decor in my house for the coming holidays.  Here is my latest project on my Lazy Susan:

I love my Vintage Truck!  I have been keeping it on my Lazy Susan and just changing everything else.  After this one it looks like I will have to put another coat of Chalk Paint on it.  Not to be confused with paste or ink.  This is not Chalk Couture surface or chalkboard, so occasionally I give it a new coat of paint.  Watch my video below to catch a couple of techniques and mixing chalk colors to get a new color.  Eazy Peazy!

Here is my how to video:

Getting Ready For Spring & The Upcoming Holidays!

Ready to change up my home decor with Chalk Couture.  Wipe off my boards and chalk it again for the upcoming holidays.  This time I am changing up my 'Home' board for Easter & spring.  Take a look:

Isn't he cute?!  Love this little guy.  I keep using and reusing this transfer.  This only took me about 30 minutes real time to complete.  I just had to remove the hearts and re-chalk the bunny and flower.  I used:  Paste - Fawn, Marigold and Cherry Blossom

And here is my how to video:

If you would like this transfer below, you better hurry, it's under last call.  When it's gone, it gone
And don't forget a squeegee, our tool to apply all this wonderful paste (and ink)!

More Vintage Transfers! 'Vintage Tractor' and 'Life On The Farm'

If you like Farmhouse Decor, you are in for a treat!  We have a new vintage vehicle in town, it's 'Vintage Tractor' and guess what?!  All the add-ons for Vintage Truck fit on the back of the Vintage Tractor.  I'm lovin it.  Here is a picture of what I am talking about.

So awesome right?!!  Now I have to chalk up these two new ones and cut it out on my scroll saw to go with my truck!

And, you know I have a video right? Here ya go:

This is one of my favorites by far....... These transfers are all about layering.  Here are my tips. Fuzz, fuzz & fuzz your transfer some more.  When you think you have done it enough do it again.  (this is just putting your sticky transfer on you t-shirt or towel.  It just gets some of the stickiness off of your transfer especially if it is new. Take a natural color wax (I use Minwax) with a rag (I use my husband's old t-shirts and cut it up) and dab it onto the top of the first layer of chalk.  Then take a buffing pad and buff lightl…

New Catalog!!

Just sayin.........
