Fall, Thanksgiving and CYCI #140

So.....here is my card! Ok, I might of over done it a tad....but I still like it!  FSJ (Fun Stampers Journey) has so many products, awesome products, that it is hard to limit what I should use.  I used Color burst pencils #JM-0077 and blender sticks #TO-0123, Splashes - Lemongrass #IP-0078, Sweet Berry #IP-0086, Orange Rave #IP-0122, Sour Lemon #IP-0124 and Shimmer Gold #IP-0081 (this is for the leaves) and then I cut them out with the Snapshot Frames #DI-0045 using the leaf die.  I also used the fall die from the same snapshot frames die.  I Used Journey glaze #AD-0002 and I used the cutie patootie (As Richard would say) Slice-Fetti #AC-0222 when I turned it into a shaker card.  Wow, that's a lot of stuff...oh I almost forgot the ATS I used Harvest #AT-0051.  So fun to make! I can't believe it has been almost a month and a half since my last post.  This time of year always goes by so fast. Keep stampin and playin and enjoying life.  We just got back from

It's Fall and Lots of Birthdays! Also CYCI #138

Bam! Bam!....and.... Bam! First Successful  Shaker card!  WooHoo!  The first one I made, about a year ago leaked sequins and whatever else I had in it everywhere.  You do have to secure the boundaries and keep them all inside the card!  LOL  :-)  I used our 'Sun Rays' Die #DI-0108, ATS 'Tag Elements' #AT-0130, Journey Sequins 'Blue Skies #AC-0113 and (MY Favorite) 'Slice-fetti' #AC-0222.  Shake, shake, shake Away!

CYCI #137, Beautiful Wings and September 2016 Bloom Box

This card, I love, love, love!  I have been wanting this stamp for quite some time and just got it last week.  Yea!! It FSJ 'Beautiful Wings' #SS-0353. This is a three stamp set and makes me feel like an artist!....(I'm not, but love to play)  Thank you Fun Stampers Journey for giving me so many tools to create!  I think this qualifies for the three color challenge.  I used the color splashes for the background (you see behind the butterfly in the circle.)  The color splashes mix with water so was very fun to do.  I just put drops of Watermelon #IP-0083, Sour Lemon #IP-0124 and Cool Pool #IP-0076 on my craft sheet; added water and placed watercolor paper over top of the ink.  Voila!  No two the same  :-) The products I used: This is where I got my idea for my card........ September Bloom Box  'Deer Friends'  It just doesn't get any cuter then this!! Please let me know if you have any questions about anything I used or tec

Storm/Hurricane Hermine

ok, so we have today off of school because of storm/hurricane Hermine.  So far everything is peaceful, hope it stays that way.  So this is how I spent my day....... I think it will work for a great Masculine card.  What do you think?  This is one of our Bloom Benefits - for every $50 you spend you get to pick a bloom benefit for FREE!  Yipee!!  This one is called Flock Together #AT-0214.  Love Fun Stampers Journey!  <3  :-)

TCP Tuesday #321 Challenge

TCP Tuesday #321 Challenge   The challenge was paper piecing.  I think this fits into the challenge.  I pieced six layers of card stock to create the shadow effect.  I picked up this technique from Jennifer McGuire.     Here is the inside:   I love this little guy.  All FSJ products.  I experimented a little here, I just received my Journey watercolor pencils (Yeh!!) the oops fish on the front is on water color paper.  The fish on the inside is on regular card stock.  Both work well, but the watercolor paper blends better.   I also used the ATS stamp Oops #AT-0206 and die (both you can get free for every $50 you spend.) Happy Stampin!  :-)

Happy Anniversary to Us!

Woo Hoo 43 years!  That's something awesome to celebrate.  If you are married to your best friend the years go by sooooooo fast!  :-) Here is the card I made Terry:  Of course FSJ everything and cased from Tori Piening And....here is to many, many more!  :-)

Waiting on my color splash pencils to arrive.........

Just playing with my watercolor paper, water and zig markers just waiting for my FSJ color splash pencils to arrive. Trying to get the watercolor technique down while I am waiting for my FSJ color splash pencils to arrive.  I am using three ATS (Artist Trading Stamps) from Fun Stampers Journey.  They are:  Lovely Day, (AT-0188) Just Because (AT-0183) and Lil Monster (AT-0158).  Now all I have to do is create cards with them.......A challenge for another day!  :-) So this is what I came up with....... I love it!  What do you think?  Well....Friday I should receive my color splash pencils and I will do some card so we can compare.  So much fun to have so many choices!!  :-)

Just Because and Fun Stampers Journey Color Splash & CYCI#133

OK, so this is a case from Glenda Calkins from The Stamp Camp.  She is awesome by the way.  You should check her out. Wow, I love it!  So easy, but it has that wow factor.  What do you think? Basically you put our ink pad (of your choice-I used Lemon Drop and Pool Play) on our stamping block; then you give a squirt of Color Splash on the stamping block.  I used Lemon grass, as this is the only one I have so far.  Stamp this on your paper (good way to use up scraps) - then you stamp your image with Black licorice and fussy cut it.  Ta Da......so fun. Check out Glenda Calkins of The Stamp Camp UTube video  :-) WooHoo!!

Fabulous Bird and Can You Case It #132

CYCI#130 A Birthday Challenge Plus

CYCI#130 A Birthday Challenge Plus Here is my entry for the above challenge.  I used one of my favorite FSJ's stamp 'Tickled Pink'  #SS-0265 This was one of our Bloom Box and now is available in our 2016-2017 annual catalog.  Hope you like it.  :-) I also used the die 'Sun Rays' #DI-0108 for the sun, Journey glaze #AD-0003 for the palm leaves and Journey Sparkle Dust AC-0013.  I masked of the shore line and where the water meets the sky.
I have lots of stuff from making cards on my work table, so....I decided to make this card: Love this little Mermaid ..... I also used the Ball Chain stencil to look like water bubbles.  The star fish on the bottom is also from the mermaid stamp.  I covered the base with Vellum to soften it up.  I have so much stuff on top of my work space from previous cards that I decided to see what I could come up with. Have fun stampin and creating  :-)

Tickled Pink Stamp from March Bloom Box - Bloom Box

Now.......ta da....September Bloom Box.  Drum roll please!. . . . . . . . . These are just so cute!  Love, love love my Bloom Box Tickled Pink Stamp from March Bloom Box is my favorite so far.....and it is hard to choose because they are all so CUTE!! I love this stamp set!  Perfect for Florida...you can see the real thing at Busch Gardens - beautiful birds.  I used several techniques here, mainly masking and reverse stamping.  (which I just learned from my good friend Brenda )  To do this I used packaging tape-stuck it to my arm to make it less sticky.  Then I stamped the flamingo on the sticky side of the tape.  Turned it over on the card stock  and pressed down.  Voila reverse flamingo!!  Woop Woop!!  I put Journey Glaze on the palm leaves.  This stamp set should be available to purchase in June....Yeah! So keep on stampin and playing!!  :-)

One Card A Day For A Month - Grand Finale!!

YaHoo! and Fhew!   LOL  Here is a picture of the Grand Finale Fun Stampers Journey Challenge - One card a day for a month.  Yea, I did it!!  :-)  Really it was a lot of fun, but do I ever have a lot of work waiting for me.   I need to finish all the insides and envelopes.  Yikes!  :-0  If you would like any directions, sizes or supplies that I used just drop me a message in the comments below. Happy Stampin.......

Paisley Prints along with Glass Blooms - CYCI #136

This card was inspired by Catherine Pooler. You Warm My Heat!  I used two Fun Stampers Journeys stamps:  Paisley Prints and Glass Blooms.  I also used FSJ inks Denim Days and Pool Play. I used a framelit I already had to cut the top piece at an angle.  The 'you' is also a framlit that I used gold glitter paper.  I used my Zig markers to color in the flowers.  :-)  The technique for this card is Emboss Resist. Really love how this turned out.  Just leave me a message in the comments below if you need any more information.  I would love to hear from you. Have fun stampin!  :-)

Mermaid Meets The Shark

I love these two stamps from Fun Stampers Journey.  'Say Cheese and 'Mermaid Wishes'  I really like how it looks like the shark is coming out of the waves.  I am going to use this for a birthday card for my special mermaid.  :-) I used the the double curtain fold with this card and FSJ stencil in the background called Ball Chain.  I thought it looked like bubbles.  I used Blue Skies Journey Sequins on the little Mermaid and Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust on the Star Fish or Shells.  Next time, I will probably use plain card stock for the double curtain fold so everything looks a little less busy. Happy Stampin and havin fun!   :-)

Multi Media Project

OK, my first attempt at a multi media project.  Way out of my comfort zone.  I just used Fun Stampers Journey Modeling Paste with a lot of stencils, acrylic paints and Journey silks.  It was too bright at first so I used sand paper and put a sand color on the edges to distress it.  Lastly I put on Cranberry Bliss Silk to finish it off. Here is a close-up. Just keep on stampin and playin!  :-)
