Merry Christmas! 2015

Here are some of my cards I am mailing this year.  I have a lot of different cards most CASED.  Love, love, love!  Northern Lights  cased from Dawn Olchefske This little cutie is cased - not sure who, I will keep checking  Punch Art!  So stinkin cute. Love the background of these last two cards.  Sponging technique...so much fun! I think this is my favorite.  I used a stamp to watercolor.  Stamp, spray water, use a aqua painter to spread the ink and water around and stamp again.  This made me feel like an artist.  The stamps set is from SOA box from Catherine Pooler.  Love it. My 'Charlie Brown" Christmas tree.  A little whimsical.  Also from SOA holiday box. Getting ready to mail out all my home-made Christmas cards. This is a year in the making.  This will be my project tonight.  I can't wait, my husband and I finally have two weeks off together during the holiday season. Merry Christmas everybody.  God Bless!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Love this holiday!  We are getting ready today for our great feast, family and fun! Sydni, the granddaughter of Mother Daughter Stampin, is preparing the first of our feast - Pumpkin Spice cupcakes!  Thanksgiving day she will frost it with Cream Cheese frosting. Yum!! I made a little something to put at everyone's place setting.  I got this idea from Angie of ChicnScratch.  Front and back, a little somethin in the middle.   I thought this was a very cool blessing and treat.  I couldn't help doing a little Turkey punch art on the back.  I got that idea from Jenny Day.  A close up below: Of course I had to fill in Bugles, Pretzels, Candy Corn, Fruit and peanuts for everyone! Happy Thanksgiving!!

All Occation Cards for Christmas gifts!

I love to make cards!  I think it is a great idea to give a stack of cards as a Christmas gift.  The thought and time to produce these card says to the recipient they mean a lot to you.  Recently I made these cards: I usually CASE cards which means 'copy and share everything' so I do try to give credit for the original design. This was cased from Mary Fish - Blog Stampin Pretty This was cased from Susan Itell - Blog Simple Stampin This was cased from Cindy Schuster - Blog Nutmeg Creations The following Three are cased from...... Tami White - Blog Stamp with Tami I made all the gift boxes too!  They were cased from Catherine Pooler, she has a video that gives step by step directions for making boxes.  I used note card sizes (3 1/2" x 5").  I needed a box that was 2" high - so my measurements are: Bottom: 9 1/2 x 8  Scored all around at 2" Top:  9 9/16 x 8 1/16  Sc

Iris Paper Card Technique

I believe this technique stared with quilting with fabric and it was an Iris Folding technique.  I am trying to copy this technique onto cards.  This is a great technique to use some of your scraps.  In these cards and the following video I am using 1/4" width with various lengths.  I also used Stampin Up!'s retired Top Note die - One of my favorites.  But you could use many of their framelits or even a rectangle or square.  Below is a video hopefully it will help demonstrate this technique. Hope you enjoyed this video and it was helpful! Happy Stampin!  :-) Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Happy 4th of July!!

From Mother, Daughter, Granddaughter & Gradson (even though he told us:  "I don't do crafts"  He actually helped Sydni decorate the cake.) So this is how we spent yesterday crafting and decorating our house for the 4th: Happy Fourth Everyone!  :-)

Stampin Up! Kits - Cottage Greetings

Cottage Greetings Card Kit and Stamp Set Last night I put together 15 cards with various greetings in less than a few hours.  This kit has almost everything you need to put these cards together.  I just used the stamp set with the same name 'Cottage Greetings' and ink.  Oh and I almost forgot the envelopes.  I do not have a picture but they have a shinny silver lining in the envelope......And the stamp set, I LOVE the font.  So cute  You can see - Congrats, Thanks & Happy Birthday plus they have messages to stamp in the inside of the card.  Oh, and the wood looking fronts of these cards are not wood looking they are actual wood sheets.  Almost perfect...easy and fun! Ok, I couldn't stand it...I had to get a picture of the envelope and liner.  This is included in the kit.  It is pretty awesome.  Happy Stampin!     :-) Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Stamping and CASE ing

My problem is that I spend too much time browsing the internet looking at everyone's cards that I don't leave enough time to just stamp!  I just get carried away with so many great ideas!  So today I just picked some and stamped. 1.  Cased from Jen Arkfeld with Stamp Silly It's a shaker card using self adhesive fun foam. Notice I stamped the envelope! Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog 2. CASE from Debbie Henderson This is using the outline and embossing technique.  Love the way it makes it pop right off the card.  This picture is both the inside and outside of this card.  I stamped the envelope the same as the inside of the card. Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog 3.  CASE from Angie Leach of Too Cool Stamping Outside and inside of this great Masculine card.  I love, love this card.  If you go over to her web site she has wonderful directions! This card with the envelope.  I stamped the envelope and

Case Stamping About You

CASE in Stampin Up! world means:  Copy And Share Everything.  I cased this card from Teneale Williams. This is a happy and fun card to CASE.  There are a few changes.  First I did not use the Kinda Eclectic Sunburst.  I wish I did but I forgot and I have the stamp set too.  Second I had a mistake with my stamping on the Birthday so I covered it up by stamping on a Lost Lagoon card stock and cut it up with the Bitty Banner Framelits, this covered up my mistake!  :-)  I did not have the stamp set for the balloons so I used the small oval punch on the Designer paper Irresistibly Yours with the stripes.  I was happy with the results, I would be happier with the sunburst but I have to stop pointing out my mistakes!  LOL  Which by the way I use to think was Lots of Love but I now know better.  So hard to keep up sometimes. Have fun stampin, until next time   :-) Ok, I couldn't stand it and did another card and stepped it up.  I wanted the star or sunburst on it.  I also popped u

Crazy About You

This is a photopolymer stamp set from Stampin Up!  I wanted to show how stamping landscape and portrait can change the look of a card.  I like both.  What do you think? I did some stamping off and fussy cutting the flower to make three levels and popped it up with dimensionals.  Below is a picture of this card - work in progress: And here are the pieces ready to assemble: Don't forget the inside and the envelope!   Which one do you like?  This stamp set has another flower and many different sentiments.  Very versatile. I feel like a kid again - coloring this afternoon :-)

What a fun and happy card!  I had so much fun coloring this afternoon and feeling like a kid again.  I don't think you ever grow out of coloring, at least I don't. Here is a picture of all the pieces, all that is left is putting it all together.  I used a striped embossed paper with a white on white design.  The embossed part resists ink so I sponged on three colors:  Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Coastal Cabana.  I took a tissue and lightly rubbed off the color that was sitting on top of the embossed portion of the paper.  I used markers of the same colors to color in the C A K E.  Stamped another Celebrate in Memento black on Crushed Curry cardstock and fussy cut it out.  Popped it up with dimensionals. I used the Banners Framelits to cut out the stamped image and a size larger to cut out the Crushed Curry banner.  Glue everything together and popped the diagonal design with dimensionals. Don't forget the inside of the card and the envelope.  I try to match

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!  I made this carrot pie from our October Paper Pumpkin.  They are triangle boxes filled with treats.  I used the triangle embossing folder and the fringe scissors for the green carrot top.  The bunny is so cute from the stamp 'Happy Easter Bunny'.  I just cut him out and put some dimensional on him.  It looks to me like he is doing a happy dance. Here is a close up I hope you all have a Blessed Easter   :-)
