Mermaid Meets The Shark

I love these two stamps from Fun Stampers Journey.  'Say Cheese and 'Mermaid Wishes'  I really like how it looks like the shark is coming out of the waves.  I am going to use this for a birthday card for my special mermaid.  :-) I used the the double curtain fold with this card and FSJ stencil in the background called Ball Chain.  I thought it looked like bubbles.  I used Blue Skies Journey Sequins on the little Mermaid and Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust on the Star Fish or Shells.  Next time, I will probably use plain card stock for the double curtain fold so everything looks a little less busy. Happy Stampin and havin fun!   :-)

Multi Media Project

OK, my first attempt at a multi media project.  Way out of my comfort zone.  I just used Fun Stampers Journey Modeling Paste with a lot of stencils, acrylic paints and Journey silks.  It was too bright at first so I used sand paper and put a sand color on the edges to distress it.  Lastly I put on Cranberry Bliss Silk to finish it off. Here is a close-up. Just keep on stampin and playin!  :-)

Say Cheese!

Love this guy!  So cute and will work for children, adults - men and women alike!  I was working in my craft room today, all by my self.  Take a look at my room......... I mean really!  Oh - my - Goodness ! How much room does one person need?!!  I was actually running out of space, this is crazy.  But anyway I am drifting away from this blog.  Back to 'Say Cheese" This little guy with his pearly whites is free from Fun Stampers Journey with a $50 purchase.  He is just one of several items you can pick for free.  :-) And each one by itself: I always forget about Designer paper.  This is a great way to use some of it up.  :-) I used a white gel pen to brighten his pearly whites!  and goggle eyes! I used a curtain fold on this one.  Simple just score at 3/4", 1 3/4, 2, 2 3/4, 3, 3 3/4, and 4.  Fold like an accordian.  Deb Valder has a great tutorial on you tube. For this fold I

Bloom Box April 2016 'Light Up'

April 2016 Bloom Box 'Light Up' Love, love, love this monthly kit.  I look forward to it every month.  Even if I think I am not excited about the stamp, I end up loving it and all the new techniques.  Fun, Fun, Fun! I sponged the background (behind the lantern) with white craft ink to make it look like the lantern was lighting up the night.  Both above and below. Of course you always need a little glitter!  Journey Sparkle Dust
