CASEing FSJ's Blog

CASEing FSJ Blog Welcome Baby Grab a small Dauber Dowel and a few of your favorite True Color Fusion Inks to create this colorful background. Dab color onto your Dauber Pads and then directly onto your cardstock. Note: It's not recommend mixing colors on your Pads. Use one Dauber sponge per ink color. The Dauber Dowel comes with 4 sponges already (small - #TO-0137 and Large - TO-0138), but you may wish to purchase the extra pack of 10 Dauber Pads (TO-0139 & TO-0140).  Alternate and overlap your colors to create this fun unique background. Add texture to your background with the Thread Sketch Stamp Set (SS-0169)in Journey White Embossing Powder (IP-0098). For this handmade card, I’ve added a strip of Journey Vellum to a portion of the card. The Vellum softens up your bright background just a tad, opening up a perfect focal point for your featured stamped image and sentiment. Pop up your stamp on a Journey Circle Die(DI-0039). The

Bible Journaling

My new passion!  I decided that I was really going to read the whole bible, cover to cover.  I am using a plan on YouVersion.  It is awesome.  I have a bible journal that I am reading and creating in.  It took a while for me to actually make any marks on my bible, but I believe the best bible is a read bible, so here is some of the art I have done so far.....  All done from the heart, as I am not an artist.  This is CASE'd from Susan Gizinski. This is done with watercolors.  I am a amateur, but loving it!  It is all about reading the bible and journal what is important to you. This is the verse I wanted to highlight I like to try using art, but still be able to read everything in my bible.  In the process I try to highlight what is important to me. Till next time......     :-)

July 2017 Bloom Box and More............

Our so cute Mermaid Wishes July 2017 Bloom Box!  Every month you learn tips and techniques from Richard (owner and co-founder of FSJ)  Example bottom left background is a direct to paper technique and the circles on the top were made using a dauber.  Cool, yes! Now of course we have to play since we now have a big red rubber stamp set.  So.....  These two were CASEd from Jeanne Bobish (A  Journey Coach)  I love your videos!  You can follow her on facebook. Look at this background...It was made using dry wall tape and modeling paste!  Wonderful texture! Now here is what I created with this cute stamp set  For the background I used our Journey Splashes.  Turbo Teal (IP-0125) and Cool Pool (IP-0076).  I put drops on my craft mat and added water.  Next I just dabbed the Whipped Cream cardstock directly on the ink. For the foreground I stamped and heat embossed with white (#IP-0098).  On the back side of the Vellum(PP-0044) I painted using our

Christmas in July!

I made these cool Christmas cards with RG Presents Holiday.  What a WOW! Such a great experience with Fun Stampers Journey!  None of these are hard, but really have a WOW factor!  And for all of you that hate fussy cutting, most everything has a die to cut these out.  Yea!!  So much shine and glitter which is hard for me to capture in a photo. These will be part of my holiday cards this year, what about you?

When Life Hands You Lemons - Make Lemonade!

When Life hands you lemons......  I CASEd the layout from Brandy's Cards but the stamps (Make Lemonade #SS-0372)  and embossing folders (Petals Wall #EF-0007) are all FSJ  I inked up the embossing folder before I put it through the machine.  Love how it all turned out! A closer look:  I used our color splash pencils on the lemon (Journey Color Splash Pencils #JM-0078) and our (Journey Blending Brush #TO-0097) with a little bit of water. The yellow strip I used both the lemon stamp and direct to paper with the ink pad.  I didn't want a solid yellow.  So easy...       Easy Peezy Mac and Cheesy!

Ya got to love all the creativity!

July 2017 Bloom Box! Christmas in July!  So excited and cannot wait to play!!
