Watercolor and Sponging Techniques

Watercolor Technique

Sponging Technique

Ok, finally I made a video of the cards I made using these techniques a couple of weeks ago.

The first card I made (on top) was using the watercolor technique.  I used watercolor paper #122959 for our top note die, also for the black frame behind it.  I cut this in half to make a border of black on top and bottom.  I used the Extra Large Oval punch #119859 in black and the Scallop Oval Punch #119856 in So Saffron.  Added some Summer Starfruit ribbon #126846, I thought that matched the So Saffron paper pretty good.  All of this was on a So Saffron card stock that measured 4 1/2 x 11 - scored at 5 1/2.  That's it!

The second card is using the sponging technique.  I used the following ink pads:

  1. Calypso Coral #126983
  2. Pear Pizzazz #131180
  3. So Saffron #126957
  4. Soft Sky #131181

 The card measurements are:

  • Whisper White card base is 4 1/2 x 11, scored at 5 1/2
  • Basic Black card stock is 3 1/2 x 4 3/4
  • Whisper White card stock is 3 1/4 x 4 1/2

And here is the video:
