Who does not like to get something free?  This is a pretty cool offer from Stampin Up!  Buy three of their designer series paper and get one free.  Please browse through the catalog on our blog pages 150 - 154.  It is a 10.95 dollar savings!

 Look what you can do with Designer Series Paper!  You can use up your scraps with this card too!

 Cut 8 - 1" squares.  Four of each design.

 Cut all 8 squares on the diagonal.

 Cut a piece of card stock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  (You will trim this down later)  Use a ruler to start the star in the middle.

 Continue alternating designs or colors.

 Until you make a square.

For the points of the star use the same color or pattern and continue with the straight line of the square.

Before you go any further, cut your star down to size.  About 4 x 4 1/4.
This is very important because it is hard to cut after you emboss it.  (You could always cut by hand, but what is the fun in that?)

 I used Stampin Up Square Lattice Embossing Folder  #119976.  Just put it through the Big Shot #113439.

 Looks like a square in a quilt, don't you think?  Now just attached this to your card stock - 4 3/8 x 4 1/8.  Put this onto your base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.  Add your sentiment, you are done!
